The Bowie Center is proud to be an official ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) Testing Office — the only ISEE testing office in the city of Memphis — offering personalized testing experiences to help students succeed.
What is the ISEE?
The ISEE Independent School Entrance Exam) is a national assessment developed by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), used by independent schools across the country as part of their admissions process.

Exam Day Information for Parents
If your child is registered to take the ISEE at The Bowie Center, here's what you need to know:
Arrival Instructions
- Address: 2550 Ridgeway Road, Memphis, TN
- Parking: Use our main parking lot off Ridgeway Road.
- Entry: Doors open at 8:30 AM.
- Confirm Receipt: Contact us 24 hours before your appointment to verify we have your exam.
What to Bring
- Student Identification: Bring one of the following approved forms of ID — Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, School Report Card, School ID, Passport or Driver's License (if applicable)
- Testing Supplies: We provide #2 pencils, but students may bring their own.
- Snacks and Drinks: Students may bring a bottled water and non-messy snacks for break times.
Important Notes
- No Calculators: Calculators are not permitted during testing.
- Phones: Students may not use phones during testing but can leave them at the front desk.
- Pick-up Time: Testing lasts approximately 3 hours. Please ensure you arrive on time to pick up your child.
