In 2007, we earned AdvancED accreditation and are proud to be part of this organization. AdvancED holds all of its members accountable to excellence in education and we are honored to be part of such a mission.
What is AdvancED?
AdvancED is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools. Using a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence based criteria, the AdvancED Performance Accreditation team examines the whole institution, meaning our policies, programs, practices, learning conditions and cultural context — to determine how well the parts work together to carry out The Bowie Center’s vision and how we meet the needs of every learner. AdvancED merged with Measured Progress in 2018 and the organization rebranded as Cognia in 2019.
