I have always felt a calling to be a teacher and began peer-tutoring when I was thirteen. I’m passionate about language, humanities, and the arts. I enjoy drawing, dancing, cooking, reading, and poetry. I also love hiking and camping with my family.

I grew up in Memphis playing sports my entire life – 12 years of football, wrestling in high school, and competed in the national championship. I am passionate about cars and hope to design and work on them one day.

I enjoy all types of biology, especially the ecology of amphibians and reptiles. Helping students succeed in their educational goals is my passion. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my daughter and pets. I’m an avid reader and love traveling.

When I am not tutoring, I enjoy performing soul music with my cover band, The Players, and writing songs with my jazz/funk group Nettie Parr and the Peoples/Outer Ring. I also love to go on fun trips with my husband, Michael.
